Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement

Margaret Pierpont is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (GCFP). She has had a lifelong interest in movement, relaxation, and the body-mind relationship and extensive experience in dance, yoga, and meditation. She is particularly interested in helping people reduce chronic stress and become more aware of how they move through daily life. She lives and teaches in both Manhattan and Rhinebeck, New York. 

This class will be an introduction to Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement®, a mindful way to improve how you move and how you feel in your body. Students will learn to slow down, reduce effort and pay attention to sensation as they are guided verbally through movement patterns vital to everyday functioning. Reduction of tension, better body awareness, fuller breathing, improved posture and a heightened sense of well-being are just some of the many benefits. 

Wednesdays 7:00-8:00 pm, seven classes April 17-May 29. The cost is $100; the first class is free.
